Varuna Galabada

Varuna Galabada is an experienced Associate Software Architect presently working at Swivel Group and Swivel Tech since September 2022. Prior to this role, Varuna served as an Associate Software Architect at Cargills (Ceylon) PLC from June 2021 to August 2022, contributing to the development of the Cargills e-commerce platform, which includes web and mobile clients. Varuna's career includes a significant tenure at Pearson Lanka from March 2016 to May 2022, where expertise was utilized as a Senior Technical Specialist on the My Lab and Mastering e-learning platform. Earlier experience includes a Senior Software Engineer role at Duo Software (Pvt) Ltd., managing a Subscriber Management System, and a Software Engineer position at Algorithm Laboratory (Pvt) Ltd., developing an Emergency Telephone Management System for NEC Electronics Corporation. Varuna began the professional journey as a Trainee at Suntel Ltd. and holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from University College Dublin. Education was completed at D.S Senanayake College, Colombo 7.
