Currently serving as Factory Engineering Manager at Swizzels since July 2022, Lee previously held roles such as Brewery Engineering Manager at Mizkan Euro Ltd, responsible for a high-performing maintenance team in a BRC accredited environment, and Engineering Manager at Mölnlycke, overseeing engineering operations in a pharmaceutical setting. With a strong background in driving continuous improvement projects and managing maintenance in FMCG sites like Kerry Foods and Grampian Country Food Group, Lee began an engineering career as a Leading Marine Engineering Mechanic in the Royal Navy, emphasizing leadership and maintenance excellence. Lee's education includes training at HMS Sultan, Marine Engineering College, complemented by foundational studies at Copley High School.

Swizzels Matlow is proud to be the largest independent sweet manufacturer in the UK. We are equally proud to be a family business with the 3rd generation of the founding families actively involved in the running of the company. Our company was established in 1928 and through the decades we have launched many much loved brands including Love Hearts, Drumstick lollies and Refreshers Chew bars. More recent innovations include Squashies and Choos. Squashies is the UK's biggest sugar hanging bag. We now also have two factory sites.
