Hayley Bishop

Hayley Bishop has a wealth of experience in the technology and design industries. Hayley began their career in 2006 as a Web Designer for SchemeServe Insurance Software (ADM Network Ltd). In 2007, they moved on to become a Software Engineer for InsureandGo UK, where they worked with ASP.Net C# website development (HTML/CSS/Transact SQL) and line of business content management system in WPF/XAML. In 2009, they joined viagogo as a Software Engineer, working on online ticket sales business and line of business software on the in house tools team. In 2011, they became a User Interface Engineer for UI CENTRIC, where they worked with Microsoft Technologies (Windows7/8 Phone and Tablet Apps for clients such as DC Comics, The Hayley'story Channel and the Syfy Channel. Hayley also worked on the backend and front end UI development of a custom Silverlight product for the medical industry building the UI for the fastest ever Thermal Cycling PCR DNA testing machine. In 2013, they founded PureUI, a digital design and development studio which specialised in Microsoft Applications. The company began to dominate in the UX Design field between 2014-17 specialising in digital product design processes and services such as User Research, UI/UX Design and Product strategy for SMEs and startups. In 2017, they joined Swytch Technology as a Non Executive Director and Co-Founder & Product Design Lead. The company raised over $500K Crowdfunding in 2017 and over £800K in Angel Investment in 2018. In 2019 the company won the top ten Startups in Clean Tech award by the London Mayor's office and Innovate UK grant in the summer of 2019 and went on to launch its second Crowdfunding campaign raising over $1M. Also in 2019, Hayley founded Native Designers, a group of connected highly skilled UX Design and Digital Product Design freelancers who deliver adaptive creative solutions to UX design problems by applying creative thinking and strategic processes. Finally, in 2019 they joined Exii as Chief Product Officer and Lead Product Designer, where the company specialises in Budget and Forecasting using machine learning.

Hayley Bishop attended Southend High Grammar School from 1999 to 2001 where they obtained their A-Levels in Computer Science, Business Studies, and Art. From 2003 to 2006, they attended Anglia Ruskin University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design and English Literature. In 2015, they attended General Assembly for a User Experience course.
