David Boone

David Boone serves as the Interim CEO of Essendant and an Operating Advisor at Sycamore Partners. With extensive experience in leadership roles, Boone has transformed Staples Canada into a purpose-driven organization, enhancing its omni-channel model and executing successful acquisitions. At TD, Boone held multiple executive positions, driving strategic development and championing diversity initiatives. Prior to that, Boone led significant business units at Loblaw Companies Ltd, including the creation of PC Financial, Canada’s first retailer-owned bank. Boone holds an EMBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University.
