Sherry Farzaneh has a diverse work experience. Sherry started their career in 2005 as an Undergraduate Technical Support at UBC Chemistry Department. In 2007, they worked as a Degree Audit Support at UBC Enrolment Services. In 2008, they joined Clevest Solutions Inc as a Quality Assurance Analyst and later transitioned into a Software Developer role. At BroadbandTV, starting in 2014, Sherry worked as a Product Owner and QA Engineer, focusing on test planning and ensuring effective communication of requirements. At Avigilon, starting in 2015, they held two roles: Scrum Master and Product Owner/Test Developer. In these roles, they facilitated daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, and backlog grooming, as well as improved software quality through test design and requirement clarification. Currently, Sherry is a Product Owner at Sycle, working closely with developers, designers, and QA to deliver projects according to the product roadmap. Sherry also participates in customer research and incorporates customer feedback into requirements.
Sherry Farzaneh, CSPO, A-CSPO has a diverse education history. In 2014, they completed a Certificate Program in Multimedia and Web Development at The University of British Columbia Continuing Studies. Prior to that, in 2013, they engaged in a Business Analysis program at the same institution. In terms of their formal education, Sherry earned a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science from the University of British Columbia from 2004 to 2008.
In addition to their academic achievements, Sherry has obtained several certifications. Sherry acquired the Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner (A-CSPO) certification from Scrum Alliance in April 2020. Earlier, in March 2015, they became a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) through the same institution. Furthermore, Sherry obtained a certification in Multimedia and Web Development from UBC Continuing Studies in September 2014. To enhance their professional skills, they successfully completed a certification in Influencing Others from LinkedIn in August 2018.
