Svend Pedersen

EVP, FX & Derivatives at Sydbank

Svend Pedersen is the Executive Vice President of FX & Derivatives at Sydbank. Svend has been with the company since September 1999, and in their current role, they are responsible for capital markets systems, MFID EMIR regulation, liquidity management, financial institutions, and leadership.

Pedersen began their career in 1987 as a dealer at Varde Bank. Svend then moved to Carnegie Bank A/S in 1992, where they worked as a fixed income trader. In 1995, they became chief dealer at Banque Indosuez. Svend left the company in 1999 to join Sydbank as senior dealer for fixed income. In 2021, they were promoted to their current role as Executive Vice President of FX & Derivatives.

Svend Pedersen has a Master in Ledelse from Finanssektorens Uddannelsescenter and a HD (R) in Economics from Esbjerg handelsskole.

They are on a team with Thomas Andersen - Head, Securities Operations, Benny Brogaard - International Transactions & FI, and Jesper Skjærbæk - Head, Capital Market Development. Svend Pedersen reports to Niels Skylvad, Group EVP, Transaction Banking.
