Preben Enger

Preben Enger has extensive work experience in procurement and supply chain management. Preben most recently worked at Syensqo as the Global Procurement Director for Raw Materials in the Aerospace and Defense sector. Prior to that, they were the Global Procurement Manager for Specialty Polymers and Indirect Spend at the same company.

Before joining Syensqo, Preben worked at AECOM as a Senior Manager of Procurement, where they led the newly formed procurement function for the East/South East US and Latin America region. Preben transformed the function from a reactive to a proactive, strategic partner through streamlining processes, implementing metrics, and actively managing stakeholders. Preben achieved significant results, including a 30% reduction in PO cycle time.

Preben also had a successful career at Statoil, where they held various roles in procurement. Notably, they led the offshore procurement function with a $600M annual spend, managing complex technical services, manufactured goods, commodities, transportation, and research and development. Preben recruited and developed a strong team and drove performance through ambitious target setting and clear roles and responsibilities.

Preben Enger holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Business Administration from the University of Agder (UiA), which they obtained in 2011. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Management Information Systems, General, also from the University of Agder, between 1999 and 2003. In 2002, Preben Enger briefly attended the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Business. In 2016, they obtained the CPSM certification from the Institute for Supply Management.
