Xiaofeng Ren

Xiaofeng (Chris) Ren is a highly experienced research scientist currently serving as a Senior Research & Innovation Scientist at Syensqo since December 2023, after a similar role at Solvay from February 2022 to December 2023. Previously, Xiaofeng held the position of Senior Chemist at Reichhold from October 2015 to February 2022, where important R&D efforts focused on enhancing corporate products and developing innovations in composite applications. Earlier experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Associate role at The University of Akron, where Xiaofeng developed vegetable oil-based adhesives and epoxy resins, and a Graduate Research Assistantship at Oregon State University, culminating in a Ph.D. in Materials Science/Wood Science. Xiaofeng began academic training with a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Wood Science & Technology from Beijing Forestry University.
