Gareth Harbottle

Gareth Harbottle is a seasoned chemist with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as Lead Scientist at Sygnature Discovery since July 2011, Gareth has played a pivotal role in the company founded in 2004. Prior to this position, Gareth was a Senior Scientist at Pfizer from September 2002 to June 2011, where responsibilities included the design and execution of organic syntheses and problem-solving in Discovery Chemistry. Gareth's career began as an Undergraduate Year In Industry Trainee at Merck, focusing on the synthesis of organic molecules in the medicinal chemistry labs. Gareth holds an MChem(Hons) degree in Chemistry with Management and Industry from the University of York, earned between 1998 and 2002.
