Michael Terry-Lloyd has extensive work experience in the financial industry, with a focus on securities lending. Michael began their career at UBS in 2007 as a Securities Lending SME and held this role until 2010. From 2010 to 2013, they worked at Royal Bank of Scotland, where they had responsibilities in Equities and Fixed Income Securities Lending, as well as Exotic and Interest Rate Swaps. In 2014, they joined UBS again, initially working in Securities Lending Financing and later transitioning to Equities. In 2015, they moved to Deutsche Bank and served as the Head of Securities Lending DB South Africa until 2018. Currently, they are employed at Sygnia Asset Management as the Head of Securities Lending and Head of Sygnia Securities.
Michael Terry-Lloyd attended Kearsney College from 1997 to 2000, where they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. Then, in 2002, they enrolled at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika and completed a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree, with the specific subject area yet to be confirmed. In 2004, they attended the AAA School of Advertising and obtained a degree in Copywriting. Additionally, in November 2015, they obtained certification as a JSE Registered Securities Trader after passing the exam administered by the South African Institute of Financial Markets.
