Surina Van Zyl

Surina Van Zyl started their work experience in 2000 as a Money Market Recon Clerk at Galaxy Portfolio Services. Surina then moved on to Old Mutual Investment Group in 2002, where they worked as a Senior Fund Administrator for 10 years. In 2012, they joined Old Mutual South Africa as an Assistant Fund Manager and Financial Accountant, responsible for various financial tasks such as preparing annual financial statements and managing tax returns. In 2014, they joined Curo Fund Services as a Senior Fund Accountant and stayed there until 2018. Currently, they work as an Investment Administrator at Sygnia Asset Management.

Surina Van Zyl completed their education with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Management Accounting from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika in 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a National Diploma in Financial Information Systems from Cape Peninsula University of Technology, where they studied from 1999 to 2001.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Surina Van Zyl has also pursued additional certifications. Surina has undergone Equity Training as a member of the EE (Employment Equity) committee, which was conducted at the Old Mutual Business School (OMBUS). The specific month of completion for this certification is not mentioned, but it was obtained in 2022.
