Martin Isaksen has a diverse range of work experience. Martin started their career as a Store Employee at Platekompaniet AS in 2004 and worked there until 2012. From 2009 to 2012, they also worked as a Student Assistant at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), where they provided academic guidance and teaching in mathematics and microeconomics.

In 2014, Martin Isaksen worked as a Teacher at Skogmo videregående skole. Martin then moved on to Helfo in 2015, where they served as a Senior Analyst. At Helfo, they were involved in strategic and operational analytics, including statistical and econometric methods, risk assessments, and quantitative analysis. Martin also participated in various projects, such as Digitization, GDPR implementation, and RPA. Their tenure at Helfo ended in September 2018.

Since October 2018, Martin Isaksen has been working at Sykehusapotekene HF as the Head of Data Science. In this role, they lead a department and is responsible for personnel and budget management. Martin oversees the development and management of a data warehouse and produces statistics and analytics related to the economy of pharmaceuticals. Martin also serves as the contact person and coordinator of pharmaceutical statistics in the four health regions of Norway.

Martin Isaksen received their Master's degree in Economics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2008 to 2014. Prior to that, from 2006 to 2008, they studied Mathematics and Film Science at the same institution. In 2005 to 2006, they attended BI Norwegian Business School, where they focused on Business/Managerial Economics. On top of their education, Martin Isaksen has obtained several certifications, including a leadership development program from Sykehusapotekene HF in February 2023, a course in persuasive writing from Confex Norge AS in October 2020, a SQL Language Basic certification from Affecto in November 2017, and assistant training from NTNU in October 2009.
