Jess Roberts

Jess Roberts has a diverse work experience background. They are currently working at Sylvera as VP Ratings since April 2023. Prior to that, they held positions as Head of NBS Frameworks, GIS Lead, and Senior GIS Engineer at Sylvera from 2021 to 2023. They also worked as a Geospatial Advisor at Resilience Constellation from 2019 to 2021, where they focused on researching and designing geospatial products related to climate resilience. Jess also worked as a Technological Infrastructures for GIS Demonstrator at The University of Edinburgh in 2020 and as a Team Leader at Edinburgh University Students' Association from 2017 to 2019. They gained experience as a GIS Award Placement at Ecometrica in 2019, creating a web-based application for a GIS model. Additionally, Jess worked as a GIS/EO Analyst at Archipelagos, Institute of Marine Conservation in 2019, working on various GIS and remote sensing projects. Finally, they worked as a Volunteer Teacher at Project Trust in 2014.

Jess Roberts earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and Physical Geography from The University of Edinburgh between 2015 and 2019. They then went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Geographical Information Science at the same institution from 2019 to 2020.
