Jesús Martínez Ruiz

Jesús Martínez Ruiz has a wealth of experience in the field of biotechnology. Jesús began their career in 2008 as a Researcher in Biotechnology at the University of Murcia, where they were responsible for kinetic characterization and biotechnological applications of enzymes such as laccase, peroxidase, tirosinase and lipase. In 2010, they were a Researcher (Stay) at Novozymes, where they gained experience in chromatography techniques such as HPLC, GC-MS, and FPLC, as well as spectrophotometry such as UV-Visible and fluorescence. In 2013, they were a Marketing Assistant (Practice) at NUTRAFUR S.A. In 2014, they were a Regulatory Affairs Consultant at Sharda Cropchem and a Biotechnologist at Abengoa. Finally, in 2015, they became the Chief Technology Officer and Regulatory Affairs Manager at Symborg.

Jesús Martínez Ruiz began their educational journey at the Universidad de Murcia in 1999, graduating with a degree in Chemical Engineering in 2005. Jesús then completed an Erasmus in Biotechnology at the National Technical University of Athens in 2006. Following this, Jesús completed a Master of Laboratory Analysis and Management at the Colegio Oficial de Químicos de Murcia in 2006, and a Pedagogical Aptitude Course at the Universidad de Murcia in 2007. Jesús then went on to earn a Master of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at the Universidad de Murcia in 2008, and a Ph.D. in Biotechnology at the same institution in 2013. Finally, Jesús earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Universidad de Murcia in 2014.
