Principal Mechanical Designer, Layout Engineering at Symbotic

Donald Seifert has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Donald started their career at Bose Corporation as a Cadd Operator/Intern in Equipment Design. Following this, they worked at NewCorr Packaging Inc. as a Shift Leader/Control Room Operator, where they supervised machine operators and ensured high production and quality control. Donald then joined Nstar Inc. as an Engineering Assistant/Lead CAD Operator, where they produced construction drawings related to gas and electric line installation. At Brooks Automation, Donald held two positions. First, as an Electrical Designer, they supported all company engineering groups in electrical design, researched and released part specifications, and designed cable/harness assemblies. Later, as a Factory Integration Designer, they specialized in designing Automated Material Handling Systems for semiconductor wafer fabrication plants, working closely with customers to solve layout and facility issues. Their most recent position was at Symbotic, where they served as the Principal Mechanical Designer in Layout Engineering. In this role, they led the mechanical/system layout design of Automated Storage Systems for warehouse distribution centers and played a key role in the company's growth from a start-up to large-scale production systems.

Donald Seifert attended ITT Technical Institute from 1993 to 1995, where they obtained an Associate of Science degree in Specialized Technology.
