Omprakash Voruganti

Omprakash Voruganti has an extensive work experience spanning over 25 years in various roles and industries. Their most recent position was at Symbotic as a Senior Implementation Program Manager, where they oversaw the implementation of warehouse automation systems. Prior to that, they worked at Medtronic as a Senior Engineering Program Manager, responsible for managing new product introductions and line extension projects. Before that, they held the position of Director of Program Management and Continuous Improvements at Symbotic LLC, where they managed the implementation of warehouse automation systems across multiple customers.

From 2016 to 2021, Omprakash worked at C&S Wholesale Grocers as the Director of Engineering Solutions, overseeing construction and automation projects and managing facilities improvement. Omprakash held various roles at The Timken Company from 2013 to 2016, including Manufacturing Engineering Manager and Operations Manager.

From 2007 to 2013, Omprakash worked at Smiths Medical in roles such as Engineering Manager, Operations Technology, and Group Manager for Engineering and Support Services. Prior to that, they held positions at Keykert USA, Inc., Rockford Corporation, and Magna Exteriors and Magna Interiors, gaining experience in manufacturing engineering and production engineering.

Omprakash started their career at Excel Industries, Inc. as a Project Engineer in 1995. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in project management, operations, engineering, and automation.

Omprakash Voruganti has a strong educational background in engineering and industrial engineering. Omprakash began their undergraduate studies in engineering at the University of Michigan from 1989 to 1992. Following this, they attended Western Michigan University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from 1993 to 1995. Later, they pursued higher education at the same institution and completed a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from 1998 to 2002.

In addition to their formal education, Omprakash Voruganti has also obtained certifications to further enhance their professional skills. In March 2019, they received a Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification from The Board of Trustees of the Management and Strategy Institute. Prior to that, in February 2018, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). These certifications reflect their commitment to continuous learning and professional development in their field.
