Sivakumar Shanmugam

Sivakumar Shanmugam has extensive work experience in the field of site reliability engineering and virtualization. Sivakumar worked as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Symbotic starting in 2023. Prior to that, they held the same role at Incorta from 2022 to 2023, where they deployed and managed Google Cloud services and implemented Istio for ingress. Sivakumar also worked as a Consultant at HCL America, Inc. from 2010 to 2022, focusing on managing AWS stacks and deploying container services through AWS Dev Ops. Before that, they worked as a VMWare Lead at Mphasis from 2009 to 2011, where they designed and deployed a virtualization platform. Sivakumar also held the position of Senior System Administrator at Wipro Technologies from 2007 to 2009, where they worked on virtualization and consolidation projects using VMware. Sivakumar began their career as an Associate IT Engineer at Lason India Pvt Ltd from 2006 to 2007, maintaining a 24/7 environment and implementing network and system configurations. Sivakumar also worked as a Systems Analyst at VMS Associates from 2001 to 2006, managing and maintaining Windows servers and configuring network services.

Sivakumar Shanmugam completed their education in a chronological manner. Sivakumar first attended Pattukkottai Polytechnic from 1996 to 1998, where they obtained a diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering (DECE). Following this, from 2002 to 2005, they studied at Anna University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (B.Tech). In addition to their formal education, Sivakumar also obtained additional certifications. In August 2018, they became an AWS Certified Solution Architect - Associate, and in January 2021, they achieved the Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect certification, offered by Google Cloud.
