Timothy Walsh has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Timothy is currently working at Symbotic as a Mobile Robotics Control Software Development Manager since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at MPR Associates, Inc. as a Lead Electrical Engineer starting from November 2019. Timothy also served as a Lead Electrical Engineer at DEKA Research & Development from January 2021 to May 2022.

Before these roles, Timothy held positions at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering, starting as a Staff Electrical Engineer from June to December 2017, and later transitioning to a Lead Senior Staff Engineer from December 2017 to October 2019. Timothy also worked at BD as a Staff Electrical Engineer from June 2014 to June 2017.

Earlier in their career, Timothy has worked at Sandia National Laboratories as an Electrical Engineering R&D Staff from March 2011 to June 2014. Timothy also served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the US Army Research Lab from February 2010 to February 2011.

Timothy's experience also includes roles as a Graduate Research Assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from August 2004 to December 2009 and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Villanova University from March 2003 to July 2004. Timothy was also an NSF-REU Fellow at MIT Haystack Observatory from May 2002 to August 2002.

Timothy Walsh holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, which they obtained from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2004 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed their bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at Villanova University from 2000 to 2004. In 2016, Timothy also earned a certification in Business Foundations Specialization through the University of Pennsylvania - The Wharton School Online, which they pursued via Coursera.
