Marta Veses Garcia is a Principal Scientist at Symcel. Marta has held previous positions as a Postdoctoral Researcher Associate at Karolinska Institutet, a Postdoctoral Research Associate at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Liverpool.

Marta Garcia's work focuses on the development and clinical validation of nanoscale antibiotic resistance diagnostic chips for fast diagnostics. Marta has also developed a fast, miniaturised, high-throughput single-bacterium platform for efficient screening of mutants.

Garcia has published four articles in peer-reviewed journals and has presented their findings at several international and national conferences and meetings.

Marta Veses Garcia has a degree in Biology from Universidad de Oviedo and a PhD in Microbiology from the University of Liverpool.
