Rutger Folmer

Rutger Folmer is currently the Director of Medical Chemistry at Symeres. Prior to this role, Rutger worked at AstraZeneca for almost two decades, where Rutger held various positions including Associate Director. Before joining AstraZeneca, Rutger was a Research Scientist in Bioinformatics at Unilever R&D. Rutger holds a PhD in Biophysical Chemistry from Radboud University and a Masters in Chemistry from the same institution. Throughout their career, Rutger has led teams in various scientific fields such as biophysics, crystallography, and NMR spectroscopy, contributing to the advancement of structural chemistry and molecular research.
