Chao Lin

Chao Lin, FRM, is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in investment risk management. Currently serving as Senior Investment Risk Manager at Symetra, Chao manages a portfolio with $80 billion in assets under management, focusing on insurance liability-driven investments, collateralized loan obligations, asset-backed securities, structured products, and derivatives. Prior to Symetra, Chao was a Fixed Income Risk Manager at Invesco Ltd., overseeing risks in various fixed income funds, including structured debt and liquidity funds. At Charles Schwab, the role included Director of Market and Investment Risk, where Chao received the Schwab Key Contributor Award for developing multi-factor regression models and conducting quantitative model research. Chao's earlier experience includes senior roles at Citizens Financial Group, specializing in quantitative model development.
