Wenyu Zhou, PE, LEED AP

Wenyu Zhou, PE, LEED AP has extensive work experience in the field of mechanical engineering. They started their career at SMMA in 2016, where they held roles as an Associate and Mechanical Engineer. Prior to SMMA, they worked at Integrated Design Group, Inc. as a Mechanical Engineer from 2015 to 2016. They also gained experience as an Intern at Tompkins County Planning Department in 2014. In the same year, they worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at Sustainable cookstove modeling, optimization and design. Before that, they worked as a Student Researcher at Reliability analysis of the reverse osmosis membrane system in Cornell Central Energy Plant in 2013 and at HVAC system design of a commercial building in Shanghai in 2012.

Wenyu Zhou, PE, LEED AP, obtained a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University in the period between 2013 and 2014. In addition to their academic achievements, they have also earned the Professional Engineer (PE) certification from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in December 2018. Furthermore, they obtained the LEED AP BD+C certification from GBCI in January 2016. Wenyu Zhou also holds a Six Sigma Black Belt certification, which they obtained in December 2013.
