Mette Høgh Sørensen

Mette Høgh Sørensen has a diverse work experience in the field of bioanalysis and pre-clinical development. Mette currently serves as a Principal Scientist at Symphogen, starting in September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Lundbeck as a Principal Scientist from April 2021 to September 2022, and as a Primary Bioanalytical Scientist from May 2019 to April 2021.

Mette also has experience at Symphogen as a Senior Scientist from June 2017 to April 2019, where they were involved in the development of PK assays, immunogenicity assays, and target binding activity assays. Mette also contributed to the development and qualification of cell-based potency assays and performed bioanalytical assay validation. Mette outsourced work to CROs and conducted bioanalysis following GLP and GCP guidelines.

Mette'searlier experience includes working at Novo Nordisk as a Senior Research Scientist from June 2008 to May 2017. In this role, they focused on non-clinical development, biomarker identification, and the development and validation of biomarker assays. Mette was also involved in outsourcing activities, acted as a Principal Investigator and Study Director for projects, and performed bioanalysis following GLP and GCP guidelines.

Before that, Mette worked at Nordic Bioscience as a Research Scientist from May 2007 to June 2008, conducting protein profiling of atherosclerotic plaques and leading the Cardiovascular research group.

Mette started their career at Statens Serum Institut, where they held various roles from August 2000 to June 2008. This includes working as a Team Leader, Analysis Chemist in Bacterial Vaccine Control, Temporary Team Leader in QC for plasma products, and Analysis Chemist in QC for plasma products control. Mette was involved in optimizing and validating analysis methods, managing projects, and preparing regulatory documents.

Mette Høgh Sørensen attended Den Kongelige Veterinær- og Landbohøjskole from 1992 to 2000. Mette earned a degree in Cand Agro with a focus on Biochemistry.
