Beck Engwerda

Beck Engwerda has extensive experience in development, communications, and marketing within various nonprofit organizations. Currently serving as Development Director at Symphony San Jose since March 2023, Beck previously held the position of Director of Development & Communications at Mindful Schools, overseeing fundraising strategy and managing teams. Earlier roles include Associate Director of Communications and Marketing at GO Project, Communications Manager at Inner-City Arts and Harlem RBI, and Development Associate at Studio Theatre. Beck's experience encompasses creating comprehensive communication plans, managing significant grant portfolios, and executing successful fundraising campaigns. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Arts with a focus on Professional Writing and Editing from Deakin University.
