Kostis Kalkounos

Kostis Kalkounos has a solid background in software engineering, with experience in various roles at multiple companies. Kostis started their career as a Software Engineer Intern at NAUTOSHARK LTD., where they gained experience in C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Azure Functions, Entity Framework, SQL Server, and Scrum methodologies. After completing their internship, they continued to work as a Software Engineer at Amadeus and ALTEN from September 2018 to August 2022. During this time, they honed their skills in software development and contributed to various projects. Currently, Kostis is employed at Symphony as a Software Engineer, and later transitioned to the role of Tech Lead starting in July 2023.

Kostis Kalkounos completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English and Greek Language and Philology from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon, spanning from 2007 to 2011. Kostis then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computing (Information Systems Development) from Edinburgh Napier University, graduating in 2018.

In addition to their formal education, Kostis has obtained multiple certifications in various fields. Kostis received the following certifications: Docker & Kubernetes: The Practical Guide from Academind in June 2023, Bot Developer Certification (Java Edition), Bot Developer Certification (Python Edition), Symphony Certified Associate Developer, and Workflow Developer Certification from Symphony in September 2022, Advanced REST APIs with Flask and Python, and REST APIs with Flask and Python from Teclado Limited in November 2021 and October 2021 respectively, and NodeJS - The Complete Guide (MVC, REST APIs, GraphQL, Deno), and React - The Complete Guide (incl Hooks, React Router, Redux) from Academind in May 2021.
