Joe Schmid

Joe leads the technology strategy and data science at Actium Health, focusing on building a platform that drives machine learning at scale across complex clinical and behavioral science domains.

For the past decade, Joe has been leading the productizing of machine learning for enterprise SaaS offerings. Prior to Actium, Joe was an engineering leader at Victrio (acquired by Verint), a provider of machine learning-based fraud detection systems for card issuers, banks, and merchant acquirers including American Express and JP Morgan Chase. Joe has also served in a number of executive and engineering leadership roles at technology companies in the areas of data analytics, speech recognition, and mobile computing. Joe holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
