Alicia Freeland began their work experience in 2003 as a Graduate Hall Director at Arizona State University. Alicia then worked as a Residence Hall Director at the University of Connecticut from 2005 to 2006. In 2007, they served as a Resident Counselor at The Fashion Institute of Technology. From 2009 to 2010, Alicia worked as a Student Services Specialist at Scottsdale Community College. Alicia then joined Arizona State University as a Program Coordinator Senior-Conduct for Student Rights & Responsibilities in the Dean of Students from 2009 to 2012. Alicia's most recent role was at Symplicity Corporation, where they started as a Client Relationship Specialist in 2012 and later became the Lead Client Manager in March 2021.

Alicia Freeland holds a Master's degree in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Arizona State University, which they obtained from 2003 to 2005. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies at the University of Connecticut from 1998 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, Alicia has obtained several certifications related to customer service and management from Dale Carnegie Training. Alicia received certifications in transforming customer complaints into opportunities, managing customer expectations, outstanding customer service, and attitudes for service in the months of March, April, May, and August 2015, respectively.
