Data Scientist at Synapse Analytics

Ahmed ElSabbagh has a diverse work experience with different roles and responsibilities. In 2018, they worked as a Backend Intern at TPAY Mobile, where they learned ASP.NET and built a data representation program for internal projects. In 2019, they joined The British University in Egypt (BUE) as a Teaching Assistant, teaching various courses/modules including Operating Systems, Internet Programming, and Data Mining. Ahmed also briefly worked as a Backend .NET Developer for the university during this time. In 2020, they joined Synapse Analytics as a Data Science Intern, where they worked on feature engineering, natural language processing, and regression for the proprietary data analysis program, Konan. Ahmed was later promoted to a full-time role as a Data Scientist at Synapse Analytics, working on projects related to geospatial travel expenses estimation and fraud detection for medical reps.

Ahmed ElSabbagh completed their Master of Science degree in Data Science from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport from 2022 to 2025. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from The British University in Egypt from 2015 to 2019. Ahmed also holds a High School Diploma from Collège des Frères Bab El Louk, which they completed from 2001 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Ahmed has obtained several certifications. Ahmed also completed the Neural Networks and Deep Learning course from Coursera and received the Cloud Application Developer 2018 Mastery Award for Students_certificate from IBM. Furthermore, Ahmed has a TOEFL ibt certification from ETS.
