Derek Drennan has over 19 years of professional experience, beginning with a role as a Business Consultant - SAP BW at Deloitte Consulting in 2002. Derek then moved to Microsoft in 2005 as a Solutions Manager, and then to Neudesic in 2007 as a Managing Director - NorthWest Region. In 2013, they became Vice President at Pariveda Solutions, and in 2015 they took on the role of Vice President - Client Services and Support (acquired by Microsoft) at Xamarin. In 2016, they joined Microsoft again as a Principal Director - Customer Engagement - Developer Services and Principal Director - Xamarin. In 2020, they moved to GitHub as Vice President, Technical Success, General Manager - Technical Success and Expert Services, and General Manager - Professional Services. Most recently in 2022, they became the Chief Customer Officer at Synapse.

Derek Drennan attended Justin Siena from 1992 to 1996. Derek then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Business and Computer Science at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 1996 to 2001.
