Martin Cech has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Martin currently works at Synapse Medicine as the Lead Corporate Strategist since April 2022. Prior to this, they were at Surescripts, where they held the positions of Principal Strategy Advisor from March 2022 to April 2022 and Senior Strategy Analyst from June 2020 to March 2022. Before joining Surescripts, Martin worked at the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing (HCPF) as an Affordability Researcher & Writer from December 2019 to June 2020, focusing on healthcare affordability. Martin also has experience as a Research Study Coordinator at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus from April 2019 to December 2019. Prior to that, they worked as an Operations Innovation Manager at DaVita Medical Group from August 2017 to April 2019, where they advised C-level leadership and managed strategic projects. Martin's earlier experiences include being the Head of Sales at Perk Health, a venture-backed SaaS company, from February 2016 to May 2017, and working as a Corps Member & Alum at Teach For America from June 2012 to January 2016, teaching and leading educational initiatives. Martin also gained experience as an Urban Leaders Fellow at the Office of Senator Mike Johnston in 2015, a Government Affairs Intern at SUPERVALU in 2012, and a Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota in 2011.
Martin Cech completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Minnesota, where they attended from 2008 to 2012. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Education at the University of Colorado Denver, from 2013 to 2015.
