Karthikeyan Vadivel

Karthikeyan Vadivel is an experienced professional in computer vision, pattern recognition, and image processing, with a notable tenure at Synaptics Incorporated from September 2018 to March 2024, where roles included Director, Computer Vision and Principal Computer Vision Architect. Previous experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher and Graduate Student Researcher at UC Santa Barbara from June 2009 to August 2015, focusing on object detection, visual attention modeling, and human activity analysis. Karthikeyan has also held research internships at Mayachitra, Inc. and Samsung Telecommunications America, working on advanced techniques in bounding box localization and video fingerprinting.
