Brian Kurlander has more than 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry, with a focus on theatre, television, and film. Brian is currently a board member of Synchronicity Theatre, and they have also served as a co-founder of Nancy Creek Productions and the founder of Kurlander Consulting.
Brian began their career in 2001 as the Executive Director of the Alabama Film Office. In this role, they were responsible for attracting film and television productions to the state of Alabama. Brian then moved to Big Communications in 2003, where they served as Director of Public Relations. In this role, they managed public relations campaigns for clients in the entertainment industry.
In 2009, Brian founded Kurlander Consulting, a strategic communication firm that specializes in brand identity creation and public relations. Brian grew the company over the next three years, before selling it in 2012. Brian then joined Slaughter Group as Vice President of Client Services/Business Development. In this role, they oversaw the company's sales and marketing efforts.
In 2011, Brian co-founded Nancy Creek Productions, a theatre, television, and film production company. Brian served as the company's Co-Founder for five years, before leaving in 2016 to join Synchronicity Theatre as a board member.
Brian Kurlander holds a Masters Degree in Classical Theater from the University of Delaware and a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from James Madison University. Brian also has completed programs at Leadership Atlanta and Leadership Birmingham.
