Chi Ma has over 14 years of work experience in the field of software engineering. Chi is currently employed at Synchronoss Technologies as a Cloud Principal Software Engineer and Team Lead, where they are responsible for the development of Synchronoss Personal Cloud™. Chi'sprevious roles include a Senior Software Engineer and Team Leader at ERSL, where they worked on consulting services and solutions in the commercial registry domain. Chi also worked as a Software Engineer at Ericsson, where they were involved in the design and development of performance management systems. Prior to that, Chi Ma worked as a Research Master at the Software Research Institute, Athlone Institute of Technology, focusing on optimizing network performance over WiMAX networks. Chi has experience as a Software Engineer at Fujitsu, working on automation testing projects, and as a Software Engineer at Samsung Electronics, designing automation testing frameworks for file systems. Chi Ma started their career as a Software Developer at Focus Technology Co., Ltd, conducting research on onsite searching algorithms for a B2B website in China.

Chi Ma earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from Southeast University in 2006. From 2006 to 2008, Chi completed a Master's degree in Software Engineering also from Southeast University. In 2009 to 2011, Chi attended Technological University of the Shannon, Athlone Campus, where they obtained a Research Master's degree in 802.21, WiMAX. In terms of certifications, Chi holds the following: Docker and Kubernetes certification from NobleProg in 2019, Algorithms: Design and Analysis, Part 1 certification from Stanford University in 2014, Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE6 Programmer certification from Oracle in 2011, and IBM Certified Solution Developer: XML and Related Technologies certification from IBM in 2004.
