Amit Gupta

Amit Gupta is a highly experienced technology leader with a robust background in platform engineering and digital transformation. Currently serving as VP of Platform Engineering at Synchrony since June 2019, Amit manages a team of over 80 professionals, focusing on developing standardized reusable architectures for diverse cloud environments. Prior to this role, Amit held the position of Sr. Manager at Verizon Connect from June 2015 to March 2019, where leadership was provided for key technology initiatives, including a successful migration to AWS. As Program Director at Time Warner Cable from August 2012 to June 2015, Amit oversaw a multi-million-dollar IT portfolio for home security. Earlier experience includes a managerial role at General Motors - OnStar, where Amit led significant technology transformations. Amit holds an MBA from the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business, an MS in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Surat.
