Derek Ramirez

Derek Ramirez is a seasoned data scientist currently employed at Synchrony since May 2023. Previously, Derek served as a data scientist at Credit Suisse, where responsibilities included managing data ingestion pipelines and developing management reporting tools. Prior experience spans roles at RTI International as a data manager and analyst, focusing on various research projects, and as an economist at the North Carolina Department of Commerce, where significant economic research was conducted. Additional experience includes teaching as an adjunct professor and working as a social/clinical research specialist. Derek holds a Master’s of Science in Applied Economics from East Carolina University and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from North Carolina State University.
