Filipe Soares

Filipe Soares possesses extensive experience in finance and strategic initiatives, serving as Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives for Consumer Bank at Synchrony from May 2015 to February 2024, and holding multiple leadership roles including SVP for Finance-CFO of PayPal and Venmo Credit Portfolio, and CFO of GPShopper, a Synchrony solution. Prior to Synchrony, Filipe worked at GE Capital from February 2011 to May 2015 as Business Analytics Finance Leader, Senior Manager in FP&A, and Finance Manager in FP&A, focusing on competitive intelligence, stress testing, and funding plans. Filipe earned a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting from Providence College, completing studies there from January 2002 to January 2006.
