Ramesh Bonthu

Ramesh Bonthu is an experienced cybersecurity professional currently serving as AVP - Threat Detection at Synchrony since October 2021. Prior to this role, Ramesh worked as a Technical Lead at Wipro Limited, focusing on threat analysis, hypothesis creation, and anomaly detection using the MITRE ATT&CK Framework. Ramesh also held the position of Lead - Security Research and Automation at BluSapphire Cyber Systems, where responsibilities included threat research, detection methodology improvement, and malware analysis. Previous experience includes roles as a Senior Security Engineer at Freescale Semiconductor, researching Layer 7 applications, and as a Security Research Engineer at INTOTO Software India Pvt Ltd, developing IDS/IPS signatures and conducting vulnerability research. Ramesh holds a BE in Electrical Engineering from Anna University Chennai and a Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from SMVM Polytechnic Tanuku.
