Chiara Bigi

Beamline scientist at SYNCHROTRON SOLEIL

Chiara Bigi has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research. Chiara is currently working as a Beamline scientist at Synchrotron SOLEIL since November 2022. Prior to that, they were a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of St Andrews from September 2020 to October 2022.

From October 2016 to September 2020, Chiara worked as a Visiting PhD Student at Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste. Chiara also served as a researcher at CNR - IOM from October 2019 to August 2020.

In addition to their research roles, Chiara has contributed to the development of methods and analysis of ultrafast spectroscopy data as a Prestatore d'opera at Università degli Studi di Milano from June 2016 to September 2016.

Chiara also has experience in education, having served as a supplente di matematica at ASLAM from November 2011 to June 2012, where they supported the math teacher in preparing students for their end-of-year exams through targeted exercises.

Chiara Bigi started their education at Liceo Scientifico, where they completed their scuola superiore degree from 2005 to 2009. Chiara then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Università degli Studi di Milano, from 2009 to 2013. Continuing their studies in the same field, they obtained a Master's degree in Physics from the same university between 2013 and 2016. Finally, they completed their education by undertaking a Dottorato di ricerca (Doctorate) program at Università degli Studi di Milano from 2016 to 2019.
