Sam Lombardo has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Sam currently holds the position of Senior Software Engineer at Syncro, where they have been responsible for creating a proof of concept for tooling to support QA, collaborating on multi-sprint feature projects, and assisting the team through a growth period. Sam has also automated the onboarding process and represented their team during the development of their Team Charter. In addition, they have played a role in the migration from Github to Gitlab.
Prior to Syncro, Sam worked at Affinitiv Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they assisted clients in transitioning to a new unit test framework and supported and trained team members in writing unit tests. At Cox Automotive Inc., they also worked as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing on converting an ASP.NET reporting module to MVC using EntityFramework and optimizing EF queries for efficiency.
Sam has also held positions at Tangoe as a Senior Programmer Analyst, where they were responsible for the maintenance and development of various services and applications, and at SimboliQ Technologies as a Senior Programmer Analyst, where they worked on Dynamics CRM customization and database work.
Earlier in their career, Sam worked as a Contractor, where they focused on customer relations, securing contracts, and developing and supporting client applications. Sam also worked as a Programmer Analyst at Genticity Inc., developing a lightweight mobile interface and researching Microsoft Speech Server applications. Sam also held a position as a Programmer Analyst at CGI, where they provided technical leadership and support for multiple client/server applications.
Before transitioning into the software industry, Sam worked as a Claims Adjudicator at DHL, where they adjudicated claims and handled public relations for clients. Sam also worked as a Webmaster/Developer at WebTech Web Designs, where they developed and maintained multiple websites.
Throughout their career, Sam has demonstrated strong technical skills, including proficiency in various programming languages and frameworks such as C#, VB.NET, and MVC. Sam has also shown a focus on optimization, automation, and effective communication within teams.
Sam Lombardo attended CDI College from 2002 to 2004, where they pursued a degree in Programmer Analyst / Internet Solutions with a focus on Computer Science.
