Shawn Arend currently serves as the Director of Leadership Development & Training at Syndax Pharmaceuticals, a position held since June 2025. Prior to this, Shawn was the Associate Director of Commercial Learning & Development at Genmab from November 2024 to June 2025. Shawn's extensive experience in commercial learning and development includes a role as Director at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. from August 2017 to November 2024, where the focus was on innovative biopharmaceuticals for rare diseases. Additional experience includes positions in commercial regulatory affairs and as a Senior Brand Trainer at Genentech, as well as over a decade as a Senior Training Manager at Pfizer. Shawn holds a Juris Doctor degree in Healthcare Law from California Western School of Law and two Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Political Science from the University of Oregon.
