James Thompson

James Thompson has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. James is currently employed at Syndio as an Engineering Manager since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Syndio from April 2022 to September 2022.

From 2019 to 2022, James was employed at Neighborhoods.com as a Front-End Engineer. Before that, they worked at Agency CHIEF as a Senior Web Developer from June 2014 to February 2019.

James also has experience as a Web Developer - Front End at Blue Water Media from November 2011 to June 2014. Additionally, they worked as a Server/Food Runner at Victory Brewing Company from August 2011 to October 2011.

During their time at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, James held multiple roles. James served as a Peer Tutor for the Center for Communications Practices (CCP) from January 2010 to May 2011. James also worked as a Sound Technician for the Union Programs and Activities Committee (UPAC) from September 2007 to May 2011. Furthermore, they were a Digital Arts Teaching Assistant from January 2009 to May 2010.

In 2010, James was a Creative Intern at Slamm Creative. Prior to that, they gained outdoor education and leadership experience as a Ranger at Philmont Scout Ranch with the Boy Scouts of America from May 2008 to August 2009, including participation in the Rayado Program.

James Thompson earned a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Electronic Media, Arts, & Communication from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute from 2007 to 2011.
