Steven Maxwell

Steven Maxwell has extensive work experience in various roles within the military and defense industry. Steven started their career in 1995 as an Avionics and Armament Division Officer/Ordnance Officer in VFA-82 and Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Nine. Following this, they served as the Fleet Liaison Officer in the Program Executive Office, Strike Weapons and Unmanned Aviation at Naval Air Systems Command from 2003 to 2005. Steven then moved on to roles including Ordnance Handling Officer on USS John C. Stennis and USS Constellation from 2005 to 2008, and Logistics Assistant Division Head at United States Strategic Command from 2008 to 2011. From 2011 to 2013, they served as the Director of Weapons Systems on USS George Washington/USS Theodore Roosevelt. Steven then transitioned to a civilian career, working at Navy Recruiting District Atlanta from 2014 to 2017. During this time, they held positions as Executive Officer (Deputy Regional Director) from 2014 to 2016 and Commanding Officer (Regional Director) from 2016 to 2017. Most recently, they have worked at Synectic Solutions, Inc. since 2018, where they have held roles including Program Manager from 2018 to 2023 and currently as Director of Operations. In these positions, they have been responsible for managing contracts, overseeing operations, and driving business development to ensure growth and diversification.

Steven Maxwell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace/Aviation Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Furthermore, they obtained a Project Management Professional certification from Syracuse University in 2019. Prior to these accomplishments, Steven attended Lakes High School. In addition to their formal education, they have also acquired several certifications from the Defense Acquisition University, including DAWIA Acquisition Life Cycle Logistics in April 2004, DAWIA Test and Evaluation (T&E) in November 2003, DAWIA Production Quality and Manufacturing (PQM) in October 2003, and DAWIA Program Manager (PM) in September 2003.
