Dean Oates

Dean Oates is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in cybersecurity, information technology, geospatial analysis, and strategic management. Currently serving as Cyber Security Awareness Lead and Product Owner for IT/OT Convergence at Synergy, Dean also contributes as a Board Director and Convenor of the Marketing and IT Committee at Kennedy & Mandurah Baptist Colleges. Previously, Dean held leadership roles at the City of Perth, Esri Australia, and Water Corporation, showcasing expertise in managing technical teams, business development, and mapping services. Dean’s academic credentials include an MBA from Curtin University and the Company Directors Course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors, complemented by degrees in Geographic Information Science and Cartography.
