Wasif Mehmood is a seasoned electrical engineer with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Lead Electrical Engineer at Synergy since March 2023, providing technical guidance for the Conventional Generation fleet and leading performance assessments. Prior to Synergy, Wasif held positions at WSP and Alcoa, focusing on providing technical support for generators and ensuring equipment reliability in power operations. Previous roles also include delivering asset management solutions at ARMS Reliability, managing electrical project engineering at Pak-Arab Refinery, and performing maintenance in major power generation facilities at QAFCO. Wasif holds a Master of Engineering Practice in Power System Engineering from the University of Southern Queensland and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology.
