Chris Blough has a diverse range of work experience. Chris is currently the President of Synergy Comp, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to this, from 2015 to 2022, they served as the President & CEO of Mennonite Mutual Insurance Company, and also briefly held the role of Chief Operations Officer in 2015. From 2014 to 2015, Chris worked as the Vice President of Sales and Market Development at Directions Credit Union, where they focused on market development, community relationships, and implementing a CRM program.
Before joining Directions Credit Union, Chris was the CEO of Wayne County Community Federal Credit Union from 2007 to 2013, where they oversaw significant growth and expansion of branch locations. Prior to that, they served as the President and General Manager of Access Financial Corp., a subsidiary of Banc Services Corp, from 2000 to 2005, where they managed various types of lending operations and contributed to its significant growth. Chris began their career at Wells Fargo in 1998 as a Credit Manager, responsible for lending activities and establishing business partnerships.

Chris Blough holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Organizational Leadership, which was obtained from Ashland University between the years 2022 and 2024. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Communication / Marketing / Economics at Bowling Green State University from 1993 to 1997. Additionally, at Bowling Green State University during the same period, they also earned a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Communication, General.
Furthermore, Chris has obtained several certifications in their career. Chris completed the Delta Institute Leadership Certification from Delta Institute in December 2019. In September 2012, they acquired the Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) certification from the National Credit Union Foundation. Chris also has certifications such as Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor and Credit Union Business Development Professional, both offered by CUNA (Credit Union National Association), although the specific acquisition dates for these certifications are unknown.
