Sebastián Quiroga

Sebastián Quiroga has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and development. Sebastián is currently employed as a Software Engineer at Synerio since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Content Writer at Medium from January 2022. From September 2021 to July 2022, they were a SW Specialist at GBM.

Sebastián also held positions at Banistmo as a Software Engineer from December 2021 to June 2022, where they were responsible for developing and deploying applications in NestJS using Clean Architecture. Sebastián also worked on batch processing using AWS Boto3 library and conducted PoCs for processing large volumes of data using AWS Apache Airflow.

Before that, Sebastián worked at Transbank as a Desarrollador de integraciones from December 2020 to August 2021. In this role, they were involved in analysis, design, and implementation of integration solutions using Service-Oriented Architecture. Sebastián also worked on the migration of IBM Integration Bus services to microservices.

Sebastián's work experience also includes a role as a Cloud Engineer at VC@SOFT from October 2020 to August 2021. Additionally, they were a Software Engineer at Iglesia Pentecostal Unida De Colombia from June 2020 to August 2020, where they developed an administration system and a submodule for storing medical data of church members.

Sebastián also worked as a Javascript Developer at Platzi from June 2020 to July 2020, where they developed a social network called Messenger using Angular, TypeScript, Electron JS, and Firebase.

Sebastián started their professional journey as the Head student of InfoSecurity - Research group in CyberSecurity at Universidad Católica de Pereira from February 2017 to June 2020. Sebastián also worked as a Software Engineer in the same university, where they developed JirehApp, an app for sharing food supplies during a compulsory national confinement.

Sebastián Quiroga has a diverse education history that includes both formal degree programs and online courses. Sebastián began their education in 2015 at the Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira, where they pursued a Technician degree in Mechatronics until 2017.

In 2017, Sebastián enrolled at the Universidad Católica de Pereira and completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Software Engineering from 2017 to 2020. During this time, they focused on the field of study in Engenharia de Software.

In 2020, Sebastián took several online courses through Platzi to enhance their computer programming skills. These courses include the Angular 6 Course, Progressive Web Apps con Angular, Curso de Angular Profesional, and Curso de Diseño para Programadores, which covered various aspects of web programming, computer science, and web/multimedia management.

In terms of additional certifications, Sebastián obtained the Amazon Web Services Cloud Practitioner certification in October 2021 from Amazon.

Looking ahead, Sebastián plans to continue their education in computer programming by taking courses such as Introducción a ReactJS and Curso de Flutter from Platzi in 2022.
