Don Apanovitch

Don Apanovitch serves as the Senior Director of Biology at Syngene International Limited, where responsibilities include managing all biology-related biochemical, in vitro, and in vivo assays for therapeutic drug development. Prior experience includes a diverse tenure at Pfizer from 2008 to 2022, where Don held various leadership roles, including Director of Functional Genomics, overseeing extensive functional genomic screens for small molecule oncology projects, and Head of Functional Genomics/Biolomics Department, managing therapeutic target validation across multiple areas. Earlier roles at Pfizer and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals involved managing high content imaging screens and system biology functions. Don also spent time at Bristol-Myers Squibb as Lab Head Lead Evaluation, focusing on small molecule screening and automated platforms, and held a senior position at Bayer HealthCare specializing in high-throughput screening. Don holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Kent State University.
