Edward Emmett

Edward Emmett is an accomplished leader in research chemistry with extensive experience in the agri-sector, currently serving as the Head of Research Chemistry for Weed Control at Syngenta since July 2014. Edward oversees a department of 50 chemists, driving impactful innovation and strategic change in areas such as technology investment and budget management. Edward's career includes previous roles as a Group Leader and Team Leader at Syngenta, focused on chemical innovation and project delivery. Edward earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Oxford, where research centered on palladium catalysis, and has completed placements at AstraZeneca and MSD. Edward holds an MChem in Chemistry from the University of Oxford and foundational education from St. Paul's School in London.
