Janice Black

Janice Black has a diverse work experience in the field of chemistry. Janice started their career as a Chemistry Trainee at Novartis in 1998. From 1999 to 2000, they worked as a Research Chemist at Zeneca Agrochemicals. In 2000, they joined Syngenta as a Research Chemist and held various roles within the company, including Development Chemist, Senior Research Chemist, and Principal Research Chemist. Janice also had a secondment as a Project Engineer from 2020 to 2021. Currently, they are working at Syngenta as the Chemistry Operations Lead JH since May 2023.

Janice Black attended Carnoustie High School from 1989 to 1995. After completing their high school education, they joined the University of St Andrews, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry (MChem) from 1995 to 1999.
