Victoria Aruldoss-Hines

Victoria Aruldoss-Hines has extensive experience in the healthcare and laboratory sector. Victoria currently serves as the Head of Health & Safety at SYNLAB UK & Ireland, where they are responsible for developing and delivering the company's health and safety management system. Previously, they held the position of Head of Health & Safety at Synnovis, where they created and delivered a health and safety strategy and acted as the expert source of knowledge for pathology laboratory safety.

Victoria also worked at the University of Greenwich as a Tutor in the Management of Healthcare Associated Infections, providing support and guidance to postgraduate students. Victoria has been involved in various roles at Viapath, including Interim Service Delivery Manager in Infection Sciences and Quality Lead for Pillar 1 COVID-19. In these positions, they were responsible for ensuring compliance to medical laboratory standards, managing operational budgets and resources, and assuring quality and operational development.

Prior to that, Victoria worked at Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as a Senior Biomedical Scientist in Microbiology, where they conducted diagnostic and scientific detection of microorganisms. Victoria also worked at Public Health England as a Medical Technical Officer, focusing on the detection of gastrointestinal pathogens.

Throughout their career, Victoria has demonstrated expertise in health and safety management, infection control, quality assurance, and laboratory operations.

Victoria Aruldoss-Hines completed their Bachelor's degree in Microbiology (Hons) at the University of Kent from 1999 to 2002. Victoria then pursued a Postgraduate Certificate in Biomedical Science at the University of Westminster from 2003 to 2004. Following this, they attended the University of Surrey from 2005 to 2008 and obtained a Master's degree in Medical Microbiology. In 2014, Victoria completed a course on Implementing Advanced Quality Management at the University of Greenwich. In 2015, they received an IBMS Certificate of Expert Practice in Quality Management from Ulster University.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Victoria has obtained various certifications. Victoria is a registered Biomedical Scientist with The Health and Care Professions Council. Victoria is also a Chartered Scientist recognized by The Science Council and IBMS. Victoria holds the prestigious title of Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Science (FIBMS). Furthermore, Victoria is a member of the Institute of Safety in Technology and Research (ISTR) and has achieved GradIOSH status from IOSH.
